General Policies

 

A two night minimum stay is required for all reservations.

Guests must be 21 years of age to make a reservation online.  If you are under 21 you must call the office to make a reservation.  Government issued photo ID and the credit card used to make the booking must be presented at check-in.

No Pets - Due to allergies, pets are not permitted in rooms or on the property.

Children 16 & under stay free with parents.

For the duration of the pandemic, until all public health measures and restrictions have been lifted, the following Covid-19 policies will be in place for all guests:

No Visitors – Only registered guests are permitted on the property.  No visitors are allowed at any time.  Please arrange to meet friends/family members not staying at the motel off motel property.

Check in time - May be delayed to allow time for proper cleaning and sanitizing of rooms.

Damage/Security Deposit

 

A Damage/Security Deposit is required with all bookings and will be collected at check-in.  

For most reservations this can be pre-authorized on a credit card.  In some cases a cash deposit may be required.

  • Deposits will be returned within one week after your stay if no problems occur.

  • Failure to comply with the terms of the Damage/Security Deposit Policy may result in immediate eviction from the property with no refund.

  • Individual and Group Liability for damages is not limited to the amount of the Deposit

  • For guests under 18 years of age a parent or guardian must also sign the Damage/Security Deposit Form.

  • Deposits will NOT be returned if management suspects or identifies any of the following violations:

  1. Damage to room or property.

  2. Pets in room or on property.

  3. Unregistered/extra guests in room.

  4. Smoking in the room, or smoking outside the room leaving the doors open.

  5. Missing items from room or property.

  6. Criminal activity.

  7. Excessive Noise during quiet hours (11pm to 9am).

  8. Mistreatment of or failure to obey Aux Sables Inn Staff.

  9. Driving too quickly or carelessly on the property.

  10. Failure to check out on time (11am checkout).

  11. Trespassing - entrance permitted only in registered room and public areas of the Motel building.

  12. Excessive cleanup required as a result of your stay.

  13. Any infraction of Municipality of Lambton Shores Bylaws.

  14. Failure to observe COVID Protocols.

Cancellation Policy

 

For all reservations, the cancellation policy is full refund (less credit card processing fees – approximately 3%) up to 2 months prior and 50% up to 1 month prior.  No refund under 1 month prior. Full payment required at the time of booking.

 

Cancellations due to Covid-19 

 

Our normal cancellation policy will not apply in the event of a cancellation directly due to Covid-19:

  • you have Covid-19

  • you must Self Isolate due to exposure or potential exposure

  • you must care for someone who has Covid-19 or who must Self Isolate

  • a Public Health Order is issued requiring the cancellation of your stay

If payment was made by credit card you will receive a full refund minus credit card processing fees (approximately 3%).  

If payment was made by e-mail transfer you will receive a full refund.
